Dear Visitors:

This is the on-line home for the 18 th Fighter Wing Association. We're glad you are here to find out about us and what we do for the Members of our Association, their families and the families of those who served with the 18 th Wing at any time in its long and illustrious history.

We are constantly adding materials and information to this site and hope that you will add us to your “favorites” list to make it easy to visit us in the future.

Our newsletter—Status Reports—is published four times a year, plus special issues as needed. There is a great deal of information about our members, their service and the activities of the Association in past issues of Status Reports. We are in the process of bringing as many of these past issues “on line” as possible. Our “back issue” files will soon be up to date.

If you have any information, suggestions, comments, or questions please contact the 18 th FWA President (gbanasky@yahoo.com).

We urge you, if you are seeking information regarding a veteran of the 18 th , to leave a message with us. Our members represent a “pool” of knowledgeable, understanding and helpful Veterans, who have frequently helped family members with information about their loved ones and their service with the 18 th Wing and its associated squadrons.

Summary Information of 18th Fighter Wing Association

The 18th Fighter Wing Association, home of the aerial "Guardians of the Pacific", was formed in 1994 and incorporated as a non-profit, tax-free Veterans Wartime Organization, in February 1995. Since that date, names and addresses of more than 2500 former members of the 18th ... from the 18th Pursuit Group's initial formation at Hickam Field in 1927, thru World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam, have been assembled in a computer database ... and from which almost 500 members have chosen to register as active members of the 18th FWA. We continue to search for survivors, to be added to our Locator rosters, and to be invited to join our Association.
